to answer the question i have only ever noticed it happen when i have been working hard and my pulse is high.
i dont think i will ask a doctor about it he will probably think im a loony.

Because it happens when your pulse is high, tells me that it has more to do with your body than your mind. If your doctor thinks you are looney because of this, then you need a new doctor! This could be a symptom of something more serious, please do get it checked out.
If anything, look around on some of the internet's medical sites for more information. Follow the link I posted and/or do a search on "neurological disorders perception of time" and see if any of the other symptoms match.
It may be nothing, it certainly isn't loony so no worries there. If it was a symptom of an illness that affects the mind, wouldn't you want to know?
