Excellent response SteveMod. I'm right there with you. I use AVS to push my internal boundaries. If I want to relax I bliss out with nature sounds or gentle ambient pads. But I tend to push sounds into more primordial realms. Deep sounds that make me feel amazed, tiny against immensity, a bit edgy.. I like notable contrasts in emotional content that expands my awareness of possibility. That said, as we move forward into more AS offerings we will classify them better with keywords and tags so that people know more of what to expect.
Speaking for myself not everything that I intend to produce will necessarily be relaxing...
