Has anyone used their AVS machine for language learning?
I see there is a program designed for accelerated learning for use with a tape, has anyone tried this?
If so, what machine, tapes/cd etc, and what sort of results did you get?

So I'm studying a set of Pimsleur Language mp3s. They need you to psy attention and infer answers. I've tried with the Procyon Learning With Tapes (4) program, it works OK but leaves me a bit drowsy.
I read the first article in the Reference Library on Academic Performance Enhancement, and thought the frequency of "Learning with Tapes" might be too low. I tried Program 31, which is of suitable length and more Alpha/SMR.
Anyone have any suggestions as to an ideal program to accompany these recordings?
There are two ways you can do this. The first is to use one of the SMR/Beta programs on either the Proteus or Procyon and then study for half hour to 45 min. Then take a break and use one of the Alpha/Theta programs. The first program helps your brain get into a state of concentration and the second program, allows your brain to process the information it just learned.
The second method is to select the "learning with tapes" or any of the learning programs and hook up your machine with a cd player and have the cd play while you are having the AVS session. The CD you choose, depends on what it is you want to learn.
