Procyon stopped working

I have the procyon and I?m not getting any light or sound to work when I play a session. I know my headphones work from testing on my ipod, and the light glasses flash briefly when I turn it on.

The mode function is on ?Session? and when I hit play nothing happens on any of the programs. I replaced batteries to no avail.

I either need to return this or understand if there is some mysterious combination of buttons I am missing. Also, when a session is supposed to be playing and I hit the arrow button things like A1, A2 up to A 8 will be on the indicator. What does that mean? I can?t find anything about that in the documentation.

Hi Kevin;

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you're having with your Procyon.

Is this a problem that just started happening or was it like this when you received it?

Have you tried powering it from the USB connection (by plugging it into your PC or a USB power supply)?

I assume you've tried the volume and intensity controls on the console, making sure they're turned up?

What flashes on the LED screen when you power it up?

Let me know and we'll get this sorted out.

Well now I feel silly... I loaned it to a friend and she turned the light and volume all the way down. and I didn't realize it.

Still though, what do the number letter combination on the display mean when you press the arrow when a session is running?

Glad to hear it was nothing serious!

Regarding the A0-A8, it's part of the new OS which was released after the manual was written. Have a look here for the new features:

All the Procyons from about 2009 on have this update OS installed from the factory.
