Thread: Using AI and EEG Assessment to create personalized session routine

  1. Default Using AI and EEG Assessment to create personalized session routine

Several years ago I had an EEG assessment done for neurofeedback. The report generated is a very detailed description of the patterns/tendencies of my individual brain. I found Neuro feedback to be very helpful, but it is time consuming. I?ve found AVE devices like the Kasina to be much easier to integrate into everyday life.

Anyway, it occurred to me that the 19-channel EEG report might be useful in helping to select the best Kasina and Enkidu sessions, the ones that my individual brain would most benefit from. So, I typed the details findings of the EEG report into an AI program (I used Grok). I asked it to please create a custom one-month regimen (20-60 minutes per day) using Kasina and Enkidu sessions. Choose the sessions that would be best for my brain. And it did so!

At first it gave me Hz guidelines and general recommendations. But when I asked it "of the following Kasina ameditate sessions (and the. I listed them), which would be best? Please incorporate them into the plan". And presto, I had a truly customized program!

It turns out that not every session in a given category was a good "fit" for me. For example, I have a very "fast dominant" brain (ADHD, with a tendency towards anxiety). So some sessions geared towards ADHD weren't helpful for me because they included Hz that were faster than ideal. Same thing with other categories such as "Meditate" - about half of them were recommended and half the AI steered me away a from (or recommended I use them only a few times per week).

So far, I'm really happy with my customized plan. Incorporating the EEG information took a lot of the guesswork out and saved me a lot of time. I thought others might want to try the same thing. You can contact a neurofeedback company in your area and pay a fee to have an assessment done, even if you don?t want to do the actual neurofeedback. Just take the printed out report and type the findings into the AI of your choice!

    Hi Jen,
Thanks you for sharing your experience and I will definitely look into this.
What website did you use to create your own session?
I'm new to this and I'm at a loss of where I can create sessions for my Kasina.
The manual is not very clear on that.
    Thank you,
    Bee

I didn’t create the actual sessions. But what I did do is to use AI to create an overall customized 8-week “session plan” that details which sessions I should use use on which days and in which order, ect…all carefully tailored to my unique needs based on my EEG data.

ALL of the Kasina sessions are great, but they’re not identical. They do “target” different things. So some sessions will work better for you than others do. While another person might have a very different experience For example, person “A” may have a very “fast” brain that benefits from entrainment that slows their brainwaves down. Of that person used session that heavily emphasize high Beta or Gamma that would probably exacerbate their restlessness/anxiety. While person “B”, who has brainwaves that are naturally on the slower side, might be really benefit from those same faster sessions.

I tend towards “A”, and the AI steered me towards alpha and low-beta sessions. But surprisingly, it also recommended that I avoid “theta heavy” as well. It told me to stick to sessions on the higher end of the theta range and only do them a couple of times a week.
Too much theta would likely make me feel unfocused and “spacey”. I didn’t realize that. It also designed a rotation of sorts, where each week emphasizes slightly different things, which it said would make it more likely that my mind continues to benefit over time.

Now, all this is optional. I probably could have figured things out via trial and error. But using the AI was a really nice shortcut. And I was able to ask it to adjust the “schedule” to include other things as well (meditation, yoga, ect) into a cohesive plan that fits my life and time constraints. And what would have taken me HOURS to do, the AI did in seconds. I then reviewed the plan, requested adjustments here and there, ect.

EEG data aside, I think it’s important to remember that “Neuro-tech” and mental/spiritual practices are awesome….but they’re only useful if you actually DO THEM consistently. I find that having a detailed comprehensive “plan” for using my Kasina really helps me to use it regularly and feel like I’m getting the most out of it possible. AI makes it really easy to come up with that kind of plan.

I’ll bet there are a lot of folks on the forum who have tried other kinds of neuro devices (CES, TDCS, one of those EEG meditation headbands, ect). Or maybe they’ve tried various kinds of Meditation, yoga, ect. You try a new “thing” for awhile and then eventually move on to something else. It’s really hard to figure out how to integrate it all all into a workable plan that’s both likely to be effective and easy to stick to. That’s where I see AI being really helpful.
