Thread: SBaGen+ - a fork of SBaGen (Sequenced Binaural Beat Generator)

  1. Cool SBaGen+ - a fork of SBaGen (Sequenced Binaural Beat Generator)

Hello, everyone. I?m new here, but not new to this world of Brainwave.

Like many of you here, I was also harmed by the Transparent Corp company. I acquired a Pro license for MWS in 2013 and used the software sporadically to create my own sessions.
I followed the topic about the demise of Transparent Corp as a visitor and read the whole story, and just like you, I was also saddened by it.

Because of that, I decided to look for alternatives on the internet. Unfortunately, there?s nothing comparable to MWS that?s easy and ready to use. However, in one of my searches, I found this software: SBaGen+ ("sbagen plus")
I don?t know if you were already familiar with it, but I used SBaGen for many years before switching to MWS, and I thought it was really good, although a bit complicated due to the lack of a graphical interface.

Anyway, I discovered this SBaGen+ and was happy to learn that it also supports isochronic tones. It?s a fork of SBaGen and comes with some improvements. Besides isochronic tones, it also has built-in brown noise and white noise.

It?s still complicated to use, but it has updated documentation in the repository and a step-by-step tutorial on how to use it, plus pre-compiled binaries for all platforms (Windows/macOS/Linux).
Although it?s not a replacement for MWS (it?s far from that), it?s already helpful because it?s one of the few that allow using isochronic tones in pre-programmed sequences. I?ve been using it and enjoying it.

For anyone who wants to try it.

    Interesting.

There's also JoeV's method using Reaper, and of course the commercial product, Prism.
