USB - Serial connection - Thoughtstream Windows 10

Having dusted off the Thoughtstream (original RS232 version) and installed all the relevant USB software from MP I can't get past 'No Data' on the Thoughtstream USB Software.

I am using the RS232 to USB adapter on COM4 and the software points to the same. I have an FTDI adapter (FT232R USB UART) - I am using a 64bit ACER with Windows 10.

please advise - any idea why the device says it functions correctly but I get no data.

Try the FindPorts program to see whether the computer is seeing the TS.

Thanks for your prompt response Andy. I tried the FindPorts program and it didn't see the device. The TS USB does look like it sees something connected to COM3 though - that's what's confusing. Here is a screenshot attached:

Ok, show me the port settings for the FTDI USB to RS-232 adapter.

Oh, wait a minute. you're using the wrong software. It says "USB" at the top. You have an RS232 TS. It only works with the older software.

Scroll down to "Serial ThoughtStream" and download that software. That's the software that should work with your device.

I've been trying to get this going for days and also couldn't find my original cd of the Mental Games (with activation code) soo annnoying it was.
