Which goggles should I purchase ?

Hi , my Kasina goggles are not working properly . So two questions :

1. Any tips as to how to repair cable which seems to be loose where it plugs into Kasina ? (lights turn on / off if you move cable at that point and mostly blue / occasional green)

2. If I were to buy a new set of Googles , which would you recommend purchase of : open-eyed or closed-eye version ? Would the open-eyed goggles offer fewer colours when eyes shut ?
