Thread: regular audio through the proteus?

  1. Default regular audio through the proteus?

i notice one feature of the proteus is the audio input.

my question is: if i play regular audio cd's through the proteus, will the proteus "process" the sound to produce light and sound modulations which will induce a desired brainwave frequency?

for example, can i play a regular van halen audio cd and set my proteus to theta?

and if the above is true, what happens if i play a cd that is specifically designed for brainwave synchronization?

    thanks!

  2. Default Re: regular audio through the proteus?

No, the Proteus can only respond to Audiostrobe information through the AUX input. You can run a light /sound program while you listen to your CD through the AUX port. YOu can turn the volume of the binaural beats off if you want. You can also control the lights manually while listening to music. I like to find light frequencies that go well with ambient music and adjust them manually while I am listening.

An easy way to produce Audiostrobe triggered light shows to go with CD's is by using the Mind Exlporer Colour Organ software. Hope this helps.
