Thread: Annoying Beep

    Default Annoying Beep

    Hi

I've just received my Proteus and am really impressed so far ( the visuals are incredible and I've only just begun experimenting! )

However, when I play a preset the left and right decimal points flash on and off which is ok BUT there is an accompanying noise that sounds like a distant car alarm ,in time with the flashing , which makes it impossible to relax. The only way around it is to raise the volume to drown it out but then it's too loud to be comfortable!

    Have I missed something obvious here? (remember I'm a newbie :-) )

    Thanks, Rob.

    Hi,

what you hear is the electrical noise from the digits of the display "blinking".

Once the session is running do press the lower button - several times - until the display is off. That should kill most of the noise.

Mindman, not sure if you're still around but thank you for that tip! You just saved me a lot of time and aggravation. My Proteus now works flawlessly with rechargeable batteries.
