Alpha and theta sessions are good for meditation and relaxation. Alpha produces a light meditative state, theta would be profound relaxation and deep meditation. SMR (low beta) frequencies over time increases your resistance to stress and helps develop better sleep patterns.

The names of them.
The sessions in the Meditate folder are mostly alpha, sessions in the Trance folder are mostly theta. If you look in the Users Manual, you will find the description and frequencies used for most of the sessions. The sessions that I have contributed here to the forum will always describe what frequencies are used.
