Thread: Ganzframe: diffuser plate loose

  1. Question Ganzframe: diffuser plate loose

    Hi there,

I have purchased a used but in like new condition Proteus and I just noticed that on one eye-side, the diffuser plate of the ganzframe is a bit loose (the diffuser plate should hold on to these two white blocks but it is only connected to one, the other one is loose).

I guess simply using some glue should fix this issue, correct?

    Thanks a lot,
    Thomas

Sounds like a reasonable way to fix it. Perhaps some crazy glue?

BTW - you can purchase replacement ganzframes from the MindPlace store: http://www.mindplace.com/Ganzframes

    Hi Andy,

yes, crazy glue (in German: "Sekundenkleber", because it dries in a matter of seconds) was also my thought.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Oh!

I just noticed that the white block is actually still "sticky" and after having pressed the diffuser plate firmly against it, it is connected again.

Well! That was easier than you thought!
