New GanzFrames Question

Questions about the new (and improved?) GanzFrames that are now shipping with the Proteus...

1) Do these use the standard 3.5 plug or something else?

2) Since they are called "GanzFrames," does that mean that the Proteus can now create Ganzfield effects?

3) Are the above true for the Ruby/Sapphire frames?

Just got open-eyesets today, and of course, they don't fit my new Procyon since the plug for Procyon is proprietary (but they supposedly fit the Proteus). I'm in no rush to buy another unit for at least a couple months (unless there's a discount?), but I don't know if I should/can return the glasses. Particularly if there are other reasons that the Proteus is better than the Procyon, like eyeset customization, better AudioStrobe and NP2 compatibility, biofeedback capabilities (how long has the Presage been "coming soon"?), etc.

Yes. The limitation of the 3.5mm plug is that it can only control 2 colours. The Proteus only uses 2 colours so that connector is fine. The Procyon has 3 colours so it needed a different connector.

The Proteus does not produce Ganzfeld effects AFAIK.

Yes and for all Proteus frames.
