Try to load the PA2 file in the editor, then upload to the proteus.
There is a problem with the Proteus rev.PA2 file.
It looks like there are too many programs in that album file.
Rob
Mindlab Energize 15.Pr2
Mindlab Energize 25.Pr2
Mindlab Energize 35.Pr2
Mindlab Energize 45.Pr2
Mindlab Energize 60.Pr2 ... are listed twice
Pure Entertainment 1.Pr2 ... is not listed in album file
Can you fix and then upload to the site.
Rob
Hi,
this is true.
The album with the "normal" sessions includes a "loader" file which - when activated loads the album correctly into the Proteus.
The album with the "complex" sessions , however, includes a corrupted "loader" file which - when activated does not or at least only non perfectly load the album into the Proteus.
The solution is simple and the problem has been known in the community for years. Copy the *.PA2 file from the "normal" sessions and copy it into the "complex" sessions album. The names are the same so this will fix it.
Mindplace can fix it permanently that way.
I have no idea why Mindplace did not react when the problem was put forward first time - in the old forum. But again where did you find that corrupted file?

Todd's fixed the corrupted complex session file (thank you for that information!), and it will be posted both here and in the Proteus area shortly.

The repaired file is now available at http://www.mindplacesupport.com/Proteus.htm

This has been confirmed. It will be fixed soon and a we'll let everyone know. Thanks robchoc.
Until the link is fixed here are the zipped sessions.
 theRock
Still says bad when I try to upload the album to the Proteus.:BangHead:
What am I doing wrong?
Rob
Sorry, robchoc, I don't know. We'll try to get to the bottom of this.
BTW - the file is now up on the support site. You could perhaps try that one to see if it's any different, or wait for an answer from TheRock as to what could be the problem.
Hi robchoc,
It looks like you have successfully unzipped the album and sessions files, and that you have used the Session Manager to queue the sessions (ready to upload) using the the album file.
Questions...
1) What is the OS revision number that flashes when you turn on the Proteus?
2) Can you upload any sessions to the Proteus?
3) Are you trying to send the sessions to the 'Primary' or 'Utility' Area?
Best regards,
theRock
Hi there.
>Questions...
>1) What is the OS revision number that flashes when you turn on the >Proteus?
Latest one 2.5
>2) Can you upload any sessions to the Proteus?
Can upload individual sessions.
>3) Are you trying to send the sessions to the 'Primary' or 'Utility' Area?
I am trying to upload the whole album, have tried both areas with a resulting bad display.
Cheers
Rob
Hmm!?!?
More questions...
1) How old is your unit?
... The serial number is inside the battery compartment.
2) Are you using a 'USB to Serial adapter' or standard serial port?
3) Is the data transfer rate set to the 'Slower' setting?
... Select the menu item <Serial Port> <Change data transfer rate> then drag the slider to the "Slower" end.
4) Can you successfully restore the factory default sessions?
...With the Proteus connected to your computer and in "dL" mode, select the menu item <Utilities><Restore Factory Sessions(Simple)>.
Double click on the "PROTEUSCODE25.pts" file. The sessions will be sent to the "Primary" Area.

Yes this works fine.
Hi robchoc,
Could you try one last thing before giving up on your unit?
Try loading version 2.3 of the software.
You can get it at...
http://www.mindplacesupport.com/Down...itor%202_3.zip
Once installed Update the Code with "Prot2_3.pts".
Then try downloading the Complex Sessions while in "PC" mode.
Sorry for all this hassle!
Best regards,
TheRock
