Thanks for all the efforts all! I too created a virtual machine with VMware, and got the program (Neuro programmer 3) up and running. However, there were bugs, and I could not get the sessions I recorded to be a part of a selected session such as Delta, Alpha, etc... This was taking way too much of my time so I had to break down and purchase SHARM. It has very similar functions. http://www.thesharm.com/products
I am salty about Transparent throwing us under the bus like this. I had other software that went out of business and they left the licensing server up or provisioned all the licensed issued in the past. I was still using this software on a remote vps just fine. It's only when I decided to move to another faster remote Windows server, I find out I can't even install it! WOW. I invested well over a thousand dollars buying all their products. The least he could have done was think about the people that supported his company and his vision all of these years. I have since 2007. It would have been easy for Adam to tell the new owners to provision the current licenses in negotiations.
I have never seen a company just kill a perfectly great piece of software that plenty of others found value in. The Windows 10 thing was easy to work around. But this! Just wow.
I even bought Brain.fm and had a bunch of my coworkers buy it too. They use it everyday for productivity. I will let them know about this for sure. If i see the Brain.fm folks promote their software, I will warn buyers about the mindset of this company since they sell lifetime licenses too! If and when they decide to move on, they will leave them high and dry. Buyer beware.

THANKS; for all of those who refuse to give on getting their fully purchased Transparent software back on line again..
There is a few who appear "indifferent" because they've probably found a workaround to keeping their Transparent software working; For now... (yes that was a dig, to you know who)
I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person here who have years of R&D and important projects linked with this Transparent software..... I applaud all of those with a persistent spirit over this rather benign yet infuriating situation.
If anyone in this forum needs my assistance getting this software back on line, you have my full support..
Please feel free to PM me for further correspondence so that we can try to find a workable solution to this issue..
I am open to any solutions that doesn't involve "giving up" on a resolution to this problem, its just software; we're not trying to travel to Mars, the Moon or anything of the sort..
Let us alltry to get this Software working again so we can all get back to work on our projects.

Well if anyone has a Cloudspace that is big enough I will provide my MindworkStation Vhd file that is 47Gb to be opened in Oracle-Box.I tried it on my Windows 10 Laptop and it was working.And if someone would have the time and patience to make the file smaller with this guide

I'd like to get in on this, whatever help you need. I purchased Mindsky and Neuro Programmer 3. I have 3 laptops, two of which will not boot up NeuroProgrammer 3, 1 will. Does anyone have a exe file that could work? Likewise, I have some files I'd like to share when all is up and running.

We are forming a group for a potential class action lawsuit regarding Brain.fm / #TransparentCorps recent removal of lifetime licensing for products such as #MindWorkstation (#MWS) #MindStereo, and NeuroProgrammer / #Neuroprogrammer. These products are now rendered useless and customers have lost thousands of dollars of investment in these popular, and frankly irreplaceable programs. No other Brainwave Entrainment programs exist to provide a user with the ability to produce their own customized entrainment solutions using light and sound technologies (e.g., MindPlace, #Kasina, #Procyon).
After speaking with the developer, we are negotiating access to the software. A large part of the original issue was due to people violating the terms of the licensing agreements and using their software to produce (and profit) from SCAMS frequently found on youtube and other places. The creation` of effective brainwave entrainment is very challenging and requires a great deal of skill, so as a solution, TransparentCorp seems to have decided to focus their energies on Brain.fm, leaving customers high and dry with regard to creating their own entrainment solutions. Hopefully, we can all reach an amicable and mutually-beneficial agreement.

Bad news first: It appears that future support for Mindstudio/Neuroprogrammer has come to an end. The folks at Transparent corp are moving on. This means that your software will most likely not run on current and/or future versions of Windows.
Good news: If you are willing to run your software on earlier versions of windows (windows 7 for example) then there is now a way to activate your license. This facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1822860054508308/ has been in contact with the folks over at Transparent Corp. Adam @ TC is providing activation codes upon proof of purchase.

Does anyone have a zip file of the stock sessions that came with NP2? I have the installation cb but cannot install or activate- I was never able to get it to work on win 7 and bought np3 but really want the sessions that came with NP2. If not would it be possible to use the virtual machine to install win xp? I think np2 originally ran fine on that or does anyone know if it will run on win 7? If you have the files I can send you a copy of my original purchase receipt. There was some kind of accellerated learning session that I could really use right now
My Neuro-Programmer 3 was working fine until i updated from windows 7 to windows 10 last month.
I then went to convert an audio file into a file with binaural beats, and i noticed that i hadn't re-installed it.
Doing so did not work.
I had to resort to reinstalling it on an old laptop with windows vista, however i only have the 14 day trial, even though i have paid full fee for what i expected to be a lifetime licence to utilise the software. I understand if the big update to windows 10 is out of reach for the programmer, but if TPC can't answer my support emails, or at least provide me with full access on my old laptop, i want a refund, and will be going to the small claims tribunal...

What's the issue? Are you unable to click the "Manual Activation" link?
You will find your hardware ID within the program, not device manager. In MWS click the Help drop down menu, then click registration and a box should appear with your hardware ID number. That's how I have found mine for both MWS and NP3. But I'm still running Win 8.1 and the programs were registered before they shut down the activation servers. Not sure if this will help though for those running Win 10 with the latest Win updates which I believe have made the programs unworkable. Maybe they are suggesting ppl should have made a note of their hardware ID before they shut down the activation servers.

Automatic activation of Neuroprogrammer is working now. For MindWorkstation you need to send a form and they review it. You can join the facebook group for more information if you are on facebook.
When the Transparent Corp customer service "human beings" ask for your hardware ID, they are not very helpful in fully explaining exactly what that is. They don't take in consideration that those who purchased the software no longer attempt to open it because the Transparent Corporation surreptitiously SHUT YOUR FULLY PURCHASED software OFF.
So it is only natural that people get confused when the instructions their Mind WorkStation reactivation request ask for "Your hardware ID (HWID). Find it by clicking ""Manual Activation"".
They (T.C.) did not bother to explain to their old financially abused customers the minutia behind locating that Hardware ID assigned by THEM (Transparent Corp), so long ago.. Yes many of us FORGOT
Here is how to find it:
1. INSTALL your FULLY purchased MWS.
2. Follow the instructions like you normally would have;(BEFORE Transparent decided to shut their website down preventing those who PURCHASED Mind WorkStation from having access to Software that LEGALLY BELONGS TO THEM.)
3. In the lower right-hand side of the Activation prompt box you will CLICK the highlighted and underlined Manual Activation .
4.From there you will be taken to the; "Manual Activation - Step 1", prompt box.
5.The "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY" will be highlighted in RED.. So read it..!
6. but guess what else you're going to find on the Left lower middle part in a special little box..! YES..! You will find your hardware ID "UNIQUE" to you computer..!!

My understanding is that NP3 will activate, you just need to do it on something other than the latest version of Win10. Do it soon before the activation server is taken down (I've heard as soon as June it might be down, or even sooner)Quote:

NP3 activated online as I'm running Win 8.1, but as Andy has said, both programs won't run on the latest version of Win 10, due to an Windows update making both the programs incompatible during installation. Seems they haven't reactivated the activation server for MWS and you have to request it manually. Whether the Win 10 issue for both NP3 & MWS gets fixed I don't know, but personally I don't think it will.
Some have suggested installing a Virtual Machine on a Win 10 PC and installing Win XP/7/8.1 within the Virtual Machine and install NP3/MWS within the VM and then back up the Virtual Machine, but it is not something I am familiar with.
Thanks everyone for the informative thread. I've been working with this for a while and here's what I'm up to.
I have found installs for MWS but I don't have access to the members area on the web site. Even the archive.org bit is dead. I seem to recall that I needed a serial number for MWS and NP3 and formerly every time I lost those I got them back from the members area. How stupid do I feel for not backing this stuff up anywhere now it's all gone? Very. I just assumed (as you do) that websites would outlive the company. But they done gone deleted it all. How do I get at the data in my memebers area? I don't I suppose. :(
Second, on the subject of alternatives, another dead but still viable piece of software is a VST called Lux BWEI is really rather good and seems to do Audiostrobe. The same developer Steve Duell made a Spectrastrobe VST too. I don't think Steve still supports the software and it's hard to find but he's happy if people pass it around. (I've seen some posts from him on here to that effect.) I can't find Lux Spectra but I haven't really got into Spectrastrobe yet anyway so that's not so important.
I've also been doing some experiments with SBaGEN which seems interesting but more of a scripting language so by no means any kind of replacement.
Ah well, I still have a working install of MWS on a Windows 7 machine but that crappy old laptop is dying on its ass, limping along. I guess to preserve the install I need to get the drive out of there and put it in a newer machine. Would that even work?
Okay no real questions there, but thanks for the info guys, I'll forge ahead and see how I go.

I had a purchased version but changed computers assuming that I could just contact the company again to re-up on my new computer. Well, im ready to return to win7/8 again, but need to get an install going before i try to contact brain.fm (holding out hope they will reply to me the next time)
