Re: Limitation in Procyon?
Hi Everyone;
MP has indicated that a new OS update for the Procyon should be out soon. The disabling of auto-off is one of the features that they plan to add. I think they are hoping to have that coincide with a Vista-friendly editor, which is quite tricky.
Once an update is available, I will post an announcement on the forum.
Sorry for the wait and thanks for your patience!

Re: Limitation in Procyon?
Just to put in my $.02, I would definitely like to have some way to disable the auto-off.
In fact, I was about to post a question to the forum to see if there's anyway to program the Procyon to play 2 sessions in a row or even just to allow the external audio to keep playing through the Procyon after the session ends.
And yes, I'm working with lucid dreaming, too.
When you release an OS update to disable auto-shutoff, will the OS update only apply to the new chips or will those of us who bought early and got the TI chip be able to use the new OS, too?
If the OS update will NOT apply to the TI chip, will there be any way for those of us "early adopters" to send our Procyons in to be "upgraded" to the new chip (even if it costs something).
Thanks for your help.
Re: Limitation in Procyon?
Greetings--
Actually, we intend to support both hardware versions; again, the main difference is the USB chip / drivers. Ideally a single Editor would support both, once the appropriate driver is installed.
That said, it may be that from time to time we will release an early beta for one or the other version, in order to obtain early feedback from you-all.
It's not possible to cross-grade the two USB chips, as they have different pin-outs and functions.
Hope this helps!
Robert
Re: Limitation in Procyon?
New OS and Editor has been released that has an "always-on" mode. See announcement at the top of the page.
Re: Limitation in Procyon?
How does one access the "always-on" to turn it off?
Is there an update for the owners manual with this information on?
Thanks
