No response to Audiostrobe CD
I just got my Proteus, and my main interest is to play it with Audiostrobe CDs. However, when I hook up my CD player to the AUX input and set it to the AS mode, as the manual says, the goggles do nothing as the CD plays. Can anyone tell me what I might be missing? I'm using the included cable to hook up the AUX input to where the headphones usually go on my CD player. I would really appreciate any help with this.
Re: No response to Audiostrobe CD
Hello;
Sorry to hear about the problem you're having with AS on the Proteus.
I assume the Proteus works fine in normal session mode (you hear sounds and the ganzframes light up)...
Are you certain that it's an audiostrobe-encoded CD that you have playing?
Have you tried turning up the volume level on the CD player?
Some CD players have an anti-skip function that messes with the AS function. Turn off the anti-skip function if you can.
Try another CD player if you can.
Let me know how you make out.

Re: No response to Audiostrobe CD
Thanks, Andy. My CD does have an anti-skip feature, so that explains it. The CD that I'm trying is the Audiostrobe sampler. I put it into my computer and hooked the Proteus up to that, and it's working just fine.
I've also tried it with my Ipod, but that's not working. Are there any tricks to getting Audiostrobe wav's to work when you hook an Ipod up to a Proteus?

That's great news! :banana:

You need to encode at a high quality and not allow for rolloff of the high frequencies. I don't know much about IPods, but if you're using MP3 formats (rather than the default .AAC format of the IPod) this post may offer some suggestions:
