Goggle blinks with regular CDs (non Audiostrobe) in AS Mode
Hi all,
Is it normal that the LED's of the goggles blink also when just regular music is
sent to the AUX input of the proteus?
The Music seems undistorted in the Headphones so I think It cannot be a Problem of the Signal.
Is this normal?
Kind Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom;
The AudioStrobe signal is at 19.2khz, so if the music has sufficient sound up in the highest frequencies, it can trigger the lights. Proper AS discs have the music low-passed below 19khz so only the AS signal will trigger the lights.

Thanks Andy!
I'll better filter my MP3's that I use for Background....
Have a nice day!

No need. Just don't put the Proteus in AS mode and it won't respond to the music. You can still feed the music through the Proteus while it is in the Pxx or Uxx (session) modes.
