Of the GSR gizmos I've played with, the TS is by far the most consistent and reliable.
Give the sensor contacts an occasional good rub with a pot scrubber (not steel wool!), just to take off the oxidation.
A little bit of moisturiser on the hands works well when things are really dry, but usually just giving them a wash with soapy water and a good dry with a towel works fine.
Skin prep gels and pastes are not a good thing - GSR is dependent on skin resistance and these usually contain electrolytes which will mess that up wel and truly.
