V2.1 Driver installation woes

Hi Andy,

I understand you are the technical guru around here, I need your help!

I received my Procyon today and my first impressions are good except that I have been having serious problems with the connection between machine and PC. First I downloaded 2.2 but the com port did not recognise and i only had the choice of one. So then I uninstalled 2.2 and installed the 2.1 which came with it on disc but again no com recognition.

I have a yellow exclamation mark on the usb in device manager claiming drivers are not installed.

So I have been back to the Procyon folder in program files and unzipped the driver folder to Silabs folder also in the programs folder directory. This works OK but how do I 'link' these drivers to get them recognised? I cannot directly link to this location when i browse for custom location of drivers as 'Ok' is blanked out and not an option.

I have version two (says on the box) and Windows XP (32)

Please help! I've been working on this for over three hours (searched around here without finding a definate answer and installed and restarted about 6 times!

I'm OK! It works! Was just able to get things going from the manual driver adding instructions for Vista that you just gave out to another member.

What were those instructions? I'm having similar problems in getting a PC too Procyon recognition even using win xp. I appologise for being such a newbie.

I've reached the stage were I want to use the editor functions etal. Took a while after already having a Proteus and first released Procyon.
