Thread: So I have my new Sirius...

Default So I have my new Sirius...

...and have some observations and probably quite silly questions

    1. What exact sounds come from the machine? Might sound a bit odd, but I am certain that there is a pusling sound and possibly a solid tone over the top. However, sometimes I can also hear another tone (always on the right side) and I am interested to know whether it's actually 'there' or my brain generating it.

When I stop using the unit, I can always hear a low tone on the right and what actually sounds like very heavy rain from a distance on the left!

    2. My frames claim they offer UV protection - is this actually accurate?

    3. How long can the unit run off one set of batteries? Also, does it have any kind of auto shut-off? I use it just before going to bed (in bed) and worried that if I fell asleep I'd end up waking to find I'd wrecked the batteries

I had loads more but I've forgotten them all LOL

I'm not sure since I can't hear what you hear in your head!
Certainly the tones will create auditory effects that appear to be coming from the machine but are not. They'll be different for each person and for different programs.

I don't think anyone would use these for sunglasses!

It should run for many hours on a set of batteries, and I believe it has an auto-off mode, but I'll check to be sure.

    When you remember, ask away!

    Just to follow up...

The Sirius DOES NOT have an auto-off function so you should turn off the unit when you're finished using it to save the batteries.

The Proteus and Procyon do have an auto-off function.
