    Default USB to Serial DB9 (9 pin) RS232 Cable

    I found this cable on Newegg.com. Anyone have any thoughts if this cable will work for Thoughtstream and Vista. Price isn't bad $9.99 here is the link.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Probably will work. Looks to be based on the very common PL2303 chip. Nothing is certain, mind you!

    Here's the driver if you need it:

    Follow these instructions, which apply also to the Thoughtstream:

    Let us know how you make out.

    Found this item on amazon.com
    TRENDnet USB to serial converter
    http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-USB-t...pr_product_top

    and also from TRENDnet here:

    Got very good reviews on amazon, nearly 4 1/2 stars from 51 reviewers as of today (10/19/09). The three reviewers that rated it one-start were all trying to connect to a GPS device, so there could be something up with that specifically. Most reviewers said it works well over a number of operating systems.

    Hope this is helpful,
    Al

    Hey Guys;

    Did you ever get and try any of these adapters? I'd love to add to my list of "verified" adapters if you know that any of these do in fact work with the Thoughtstream and/or Proteus.

    Thanks!

    -Andy.
