Thread: 2.4.5 Editor Issue

    Question 2.4.5 Editor Issue

    Hi,
I installed the latest editor after uninstalling 2.4.1. Unfortunately the program doesn't appear on the screen! It is running in the taskbar from where I can maximise it but then it fills the screen with the controls in the top left which I don't like. Restoring it makes it disappear again.

    I'm running XP pro SP2.

    Cheers
    Rob

Can you not just resize it (by dragging the sides of the window) as opposed to Minimize/Maximize?

    Hi,
No. If it's not on the screen at all then there are no sides to grab. Once it is maximised then you can't do that. I've gone back to 2.4.1 which is fine (although you can't grab and resize that I just noticed).
It wondered if it was a bug.

    Hi,

    sounds silly.

OK, the editor is ugly once maximised with a tiny bit of text in the top left corner. In that situation do - in the top right command line of the box - press the middle windows button "two boxes on top of each other" (resize). This gives the normal resizable window.

But this is normal windows knowledge which any chinese child on this world knows? It can not be that simple or?

Try uninstalling it and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, let me know.

Well that didn't work. I messed with my screen resolution a couple of times and that brough it back. I guess somehow it had decided to position itself somewhere away from the boundaries of my screen size.
    Thanks anyway.

Very odd. Is it ok now or is it still giving you grief?
