Thread: does the procyon have audible light flashing tones?

  1. Default does the procyon have audible light flashing tones?

    hi, i havwe recwently bought another proteusas my old one was making noises iwhen the lights flashed.. but this new one does the same, despite turning the display down.
    im going to have to send it back as the noise is very fast and sharp, hence not relaxing, but im gutted as i love the visuals from the proteus.

    So i was wondering if the procyon has the same problem with audible flashing lights??

    i have an innerpulse machine and i have no problem with that, i like my innerpulse for sleep programmes but i loved the visuals from theproteus and find it better for meditation.
    thank you.

    Have you tried turning the display lights off? You can do this by pressing the bottom button. The noise should go away when the display light is turned off.

    Hi there;

    I have never heard any extraneous sounds from the Proteus (other than the sounds the unit is supposed to generate) when the LED display is turned off (as per the instructions from Marisa) I haven't heard of any one having this problem either, except when perhaps their batteries are low.
    To answer your question, the Procyon is not supposed to make extra noises, but neither is the Proteus.

    Let's see if we can figure what the problem is...

    Are you running the Proteus with batteries or on the AC adapter?

    Does the noise get lower when you turn down the intensity of the lightframes?

    Does the noise get lower when you turn down the volume of the headphones?

    Does it do it on all programs?

    Does it do it with AudioStrobe?

    What exactly does this sound that your speaking of sound like?

    Let me know so we can get to the bottom of this.

    -Andy.
