Thread: Wavelengths of Kasina LEDs

  1. Default Wavelengths of Kasina LEDs

    Hi Andy,
Can you tell me what is the wavelength (nanometres) of each of the red, green & blue Ganzframe LEDs?
Or direct me to another page/doc where I will find the info.
    Thanks,
    Peter.

    RED: 620nm
    GREEN: 525nm
    BLUE: 470nm

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks Andy, appreciate your response.
I'm interested in red light therapy using the Kasina. From what I've read deep red 670 nm is the optimal wavelength - 620 is pretty close.
On a related subject - I'd like to know how you can create a specific SpectraStrobe colour, for example an orange shade that has decimal values of R=250, G=150, & B=50. Is it simply a matter of setting the volume parameter on each of the SS tracks to that ratio?
    Cheers, Peter.

    Good question!

Hopefully JoeV jumps in, if anyone could answer that it would be him!
I do remember, however, that "actual" colours are greatly affected by the red shift that happens through your closed eyelids, so there would be settings for "eyes opened" and "eyes closed" that would be very different.

The red LED is spected at 620-630 nm. Like Andy said, this is going to change eyes closed due to the red blood cells circulating through the capillaries in your eyelids.

Setting the color value to those settings will give you a shade of orange. Eyes closed you may want to decrease the red a bit.
