Thread: Proteus AC Adapter

    Default Proteus AC Adapter

I have just returned from holiday and find that my many AC Adapters have got mixed up, consequently I am not sure which is the correct one to use with the Proteus. I think it is the one that supplies 7.5 volts at 200mA with the centre conductor of the plug being the negative and the outer conductor the positive. Please could you confirm this.
    Thanks Allan.

I apologize in advance for my lame er .. technically challenged answer...

I'm reading what's on power supply for the Proteus ....

    Model: D28-7.5-200
    Output: DC 7.5 V 200mA

Is that enough information to go on?

Additionally, as mentioned earlier, the Proteus AC Adapter is center negative.
200mA is the current (amperage) rating of the adapter, so anything 200mA or HIGHER is fine.

The 7.5v is an unusual voltage so I'm pretty confident you have the correct supply, Allan.

    Hi Allen,

To be really really sure... here is a picture of adaptor that I got some time ago. Exactly the same as what Marisa has described, and with center (centre?) negative tip as they say.

One picture can save so many words, eh?

    Richard

PS. My adaptor is 110V AC for US use, and not suitable for Hong Kong (220V). If anyone wants this unused adaptor (free) just send a private message and will put adaptor into post for you. First come first served, of course.

    Hello Marisa, Andy and RichardHK

Thank you for your prompt succinct reply, much appreciated. (Don't you love it when a word you have seldom used suddenly fits?)

I hesitated to plug it in as I didn't want to damage my Proteus - although it may be protected by a diode.

    Thanks again.

    Regards Allan
