Thread: Proxima Ideas: A REAL Alpha Trainer, A Lucid Dreaming Program

  1. Default Proxima Ideas: A REAL Alpha Trainer, A Lucid Dreaming Program

    A Real Alpha Trainer

    1. The light and sound pulses slightly below current brain wave levels.

    2. The light and sound keep pulsing at this level until the brain waves match the light and sound pulses.

    3. Shortly after the brain waves catch up, the light and sound pulses slightly below current brain wave levels.

    4. This repeats until Alpha is achieved.

    Lucid Dreaming Setting

    1. Light and sound are off.

    2. Once it is detected that you are dreaming, the light and sound activates to cue you are dreaming.

    Nice ideas!

Actually, the alpha-enhancement EEG/LS system you describe is covered by a patent by Pioneer, which actually produced such a machine in the late 90s, called "Mother". I have one and the experience was interesting. There are a few complications (some people's alpha actually drops under LS stimulation), but we won't be producing such a device due both to the patent and to the FDA's stance that such a machine must undergo their expensive approval process before being sold in the USA. We've built EEG drive LS machines for a couple clinical research projects in the past, though--very promising technology.

We built slucid dreaming devices in the early 90s, the "Dream Mate" and "Dream Voyager". They used infrared to detect when you are dreaming, and would trigger sequences of flashing light at a programmable interval following the onset of REM sleep. We didn't sell enough (or our price was too low) to keep them in production, though.

Maybe you should reconsider this now... In Russia people are getting on the waitlists to buy REM dreamer
