unzipping the file

Hi Andy

I have never successfully unzipped a file before.
I have unzipped this file and have a picture of a filing cabinet, PDF set up instructions, a picture of the computer and "set up" and then the "setup.list icon. Am I supposed to open any of these files first, or do I just go ahead and plug the Procyon into the 'puter?

Hey Anne! Delving into the deep mysteries of the computer now, eh?

Just unzip the file to a folder somewhere (maybe your desktop so it's easy to find) and then open that folder so you see the files that you described. Then double-click the PDF that is called "setup instructions" and maybe print them out. Follow the steps as per the instructions and you should have no problems. It will start with double-clicking the "setup" icon (the computer) but I don't remember all the steps.

Try the instructions and let me know if you run into any difficulties!

Bummer! the hard drive just went on the lap top as I was getting to the nitty-gritty part. Have to wait another couple of days before I get the 'puter back
