  1. Default Information on audiostrobe cd Requiem

Can anyone let me know about this cd? I'm kind of Leary to purchase because of it being about dying yeast cells kind of morbid sounding, is it relaxing?

Hi, If you go to the Audiostrobe Shop channel on Youtube you can get samples of all the CD's. Heres a sample of Requium

I have it and find it kind of annoying.
If you want some good clean brainwave entrainment try the Brain Scan CD, and I also love Tibettan Highlands

I just did the Requiem session tonight. It's my favorite Audio Strobe CD. I have several Audio Strobe CD's so this was only the third time I've done Requiem, it blows me away every time. I've also found that the light level needs to be adjusted to maximize the session. I also have a very nice CD player and headphone combo that adds to the experience. I can't imagine how it could be annoying to anyone but some people have different tastes. To me it's very beautiful. It's very intense at times and very relaxing at times but always beautiful.

Steve, I had a another listen to the first part again to refresh my memory. Its the sections with dischordant strings and vocals that really grate on me. I do AVS for relaxation and meditation and I find dis-chordance distracting at best.

Requiem has always been my favorite. It gives me an out-of-body sensation and I feel like I am floating somewhere in the sky with the sun shinning through once in a while. Love it!

Thanks everyone for responding I think I'm going to give requiem a try just sounds interesting to me, there are moments when I do see my family's faces who are deceased , wonder if anyone one else has this experiences with audiostrobe. I only have one of the ELEMENTS CDs so far but I'm going to try more soon.

Seeing faces is very common in hypnagogic imagery... that is the visions that occur on the borderland of sleep or in deep meditative states. Here is a brief article that talks about the phenomena of hypnagogia and 'faces in the dark'... http://pureinsight.org/node/1172

In addition to what Scott said, Theta can bring to surface memories, even repressed ones. If you are prepared ahead of time mentally for that, you can do something with it. For example, if you see deceased relatives - see yourself "wishing them well and a peaceful journey" - see yourself smiling and waving to them and then let the image get smaller and smaller as they go into the distance.

It doesn't matter if the image is a vision or a dream or a memory - they all be dealt with the same way.
