lol Classic title that! lol The one eared hippy I refer to is my lovely wife Viv

She`s deaf in one ear and we suddenly realised last night that that is probably why my mind machine "doesn`t work" on her. What I mean by that is she finds it all to be very over stimulating and not helpful on the meditation and calmness front. Are we right in our thinking there? Any suggestions as to how we could make things work? We`re going to try lights and music or radio. The shipping forecasts and the like relax her and send her off to sleep. Maybe lights and that would be ideal for her. Thought I`d ask you anyway as I`m sure you`ve got some thoughts on the subject.........

Well my wife is deaf in one ear. The way I understand it, the mind machine works by putting putting two slightly different frequencies into either ear. Your brain then tunes itself to the frequency in between. Is that right? My wifeypoo, being deaf in one ear, can only hear the binaural beats being played on one side of the headphones. My question is, can the mind machine still work if you onlky have hearing on one side?

Hey Feebo,

Ah I get it now. Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, she definitely can benefit from the machine. The lights are even a more powerful method of delivery than sound. And you can perceive a binaural beat (though I guess it's not "aural" anymore) through the light frames. Binaural is only one aspect and it's not a huge one at that.
