New to forums not machines. Question on proteus vs procyon

Hi all,

New here. I've been using a primative mind machine, innerquest from sharper image for the last 15+ years or so and it just died. I ordered a Procyon last night and almost ordered a proteus to go with it. Do these 2 compliment each other or is the procyon just the new proteus? I'm not into a bunch of mods right now, just the stock programs as I get used to the new technology.

I have no problem buying multiple machines but don't want to if they are similar. Any advice is well appreciated.

Hi Stu,

I think you will be satisfied with just the Procyon. The Procyon can do everything the Proteus can do and then some.

After doing much research today, I think this is going to be a bitchin machine. Do you have any experience with any higher end boxes if any? I mainly use these for relaxing and for trippy entertrainment.

Hi Stu,

Higher end boxes? You mean different brands of machines? There may be AVS machines that are more expensive than the Procyon but they are not better machines.

For trippy entertainment - the MindArt sessions are pretty awesome. I like to do those with just the light frames on and my choice of music on the headphones.

For relaxation - I like the Mind Sauna and Regeneration programs.
