Thread: Audio-out port failure

  1. Default Audio-out port failure

    I haven't used my Proteus in a few months. Followed all the steps in the manual carefully to make sure I was turning it on properly.

    Video-out for glasses worked fine, but no audio. Just a buzzing in the background.

    Plugged headphones cable into video-out port and the sound worked fine.

    Plugged glasses into audio-out port -- no lights (not surprising).

    So now I have an old Proteus OS 2.3 that can do audio OR video, but not both at the same time.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello;

    Let's just make sure you're connecting everything properly.

    Start with running the Proteus from the AC adapter or BRAND NEW Alkaline batteries.

    The connection on the TOP of the Proteus is for the Lightframes. Plug the lightframes in there, turn on the Proteus, Select session P01 and press Play. Adjust the intesity control (beside the Lightframe connection) until the lights flash.

    The connection on the SIDE of the Proteus is for the headphones. It's the UPPER connection of the two on the side. Plug the headphones in there, turn on the Proteus, Select session P01 and press Play. Adjust the volume control (on the top of the Proteus) until you can hear the tones.

    Let me know how you make out.

    -Andy.
