    Default trouble with com ports

    Hi,

    Apologies first as I have already posted this in another area of the forum when I should have posted it here. I couldn't delete the post, only edit it. Anyway...


    I am having trouble trying to set up the USB connection from my AVS to PC.

    I have downloaded the software that was mentioned in the forum (http://www.mindplacesupport.com/Down...ocyonSetup.zip)

    It installed ok but keeps saying that the unit is successfully installed using com port 33. I read on the forum somewhere that the software looks at port 3. Each time I try and open the port, it says that it is unsuccessful and it says that
    Unit is not responding,
    Check unit,
    Check connection

    Tried uninstalling/installing several times with windows restarts but no use.

    Is there anything I need to do to force the USB to port 3?

    I am running Windows 7 and have a Rev 2 AVS system.
