Thoughtstream and Proteus serial cables?

Are the serial cables for the thoughtstream and proteus identical? (can the same cable be used to connect each device to a computer?) If not what are the differences?

I've answered my own question. Should have done a more thorough search of the forum. The answer seems to be that the cables are different due to data being sent to the Proteus and from the Thoughtstream.
