Procyon Audio Strobe "_" mode?

When you select AS mode on the Procyon, if you press the play/stop button you get a flashing "_" after the AS. Does this mean anything?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go into AS mode on a Procyon, press the play button and look at the display.
