Procyon AVS editor

I am a software developer and would like to invest some time into the Procyon AVS editor and bring it back to the community. Can I get the source code of the Procyon AVS editor? That will save me a lot of time. Lately I am working a lot with VB6. I saw that the editor is also written in VB6.
Eventually my goal is to understand how the editor works and also to create an editor that runs on a Mac.
Is there a document about the communication protocol avaible? Like the "Proteus Segment Format and programming guide.doc", that is wel documented. I already saw the "Procyon file format.txt" and I would like some more details. Or is there somebody who already did make a document about the protocol?
