Procyon AVS waveform
This question was raised before just found out links after links with no clear information
Why most session in Procyon AVS are sinewave and not semisine for beta session and alpha below sinewave ?
Does Procyon default session was design like neurofeedback not intend to produce evoking of variety harmonic?

Re: Procyon AVS waveform
So I understand what you are asking...
You have been looking at the Procyon factory sessions in the Procyon Editor software?
You are asking why they use sine waves a lot?
Is this correct?

Re: Procyon AVS waveform
Yes I am looking in Procyon Factory session in editor software.

Re: Procyon AVS waveform
Ok, I'll take a guess at it. Robert the actual session designer will correct me if I am mistaken.
Sine waves do produce cleaner stimulation frequencies without higher harmonics being produced. Very similar to audio. This is probably a big reason. In the slower brainwave frequencies this would be more important. In higher frequencies the harmonics would exist beyond the 'diffusion' point. That is the speed at which our perception can no longer distinguish the spacing between peaks.
I think there is also a major 'aesthetic' reason. When you are designing factory sessions you are seeking to showcase the capabilities of the machine. The sine wave especially at slower frequencies, blends well with other colors because it is smoother. It creates nice color mixture.
Sine wave modulation with audio is also smoother and more pleasing.
I think both of these factors went into the thinking behind the session design..

Re: Procyon AVS waveform
Smart idea because people with high beta 2 activity brain will make them more anxiety using semi sine wave in beta 14-20hz range due to harmonic!!
