Flash phase effect in Binaural mode

In manual mode, the Proteus allows switching between monaural and binaural sound by pressing the middle button ( although it is not true binaural as the sound is already beat modulated in each chanell ) . I'm not sure what effect this has on audio but it puts the green and red lights 180 degree out of phase with each other.

If running at say 12hz, does this then mean that the brain will follow a 12hz or 24 HZ as you have twice as many flashes albeit alternating colour. I've wondered about this for the purpose of making my own programs.
