I just bought the kasina, and I'm excited to try it out in the coming days.
My main intention is to use it for self-growth -- increase awareness, spiritual growth, and progress in my meditation.

Which sessions do you recommend I use?
There are a number of sessions on the KASINA which range from relaxing to experimental - best to try a couple of these out to see what works best for you. In this forum, there is also a sub-forum on "Kasina sessions" where you will find additional sessions created by users, some of them with specific purposes in mind.
Then there are a couple of companies who create guided meditation-type recordings with AudioStrobe. psio, a Belgian company, has a huge number of topics covered, but I find their scripts (i.e. the verbal narratition) to be sub-par, and a bit blunt for a hypnotic induction. Mind Enhancement Systems offer better material in this regard.
Personally, I like some of the old material from Tamas Lab best, e.g. "Meditation & Integration" which you can get at audiostrobe.com For me, it has just the right mix of subtle ambient sound to facilitate meditation / drifting off into dreamy states.
