12 LED Ganzframes for the Procyon

Hi Robert and Craig, and all AVS users, greetings from the UK, hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Having just purchased a Procyon machine 6 weeks ago, I have just heard that you will be releasing 12 LED Ganzframes for the Procyon. Would you be kind enough to answer the following please:

1. When will the frames be available to purchase?
2. How will the new Procyon frames compare with the Kasina experience?
3. Will us Procyon users have to download new sessions for use with the new Ganzframes?

Hello, Carrie! Thank you for purchasing the Procyon, and welcome to the Forums. There is a new Procyon production run underway right now, and due to supply mis-matches, about half will have the standard GanzFrames, and half, 12 LED. We should soon have a batch of those new GanzFrames in stock, and will create a special offer for people like you who purchased the earlier version close to the new release. They are a bit brighter on the Procyon than the Kasina due to different LED drive circuits, and would be appropriate for users who wish a more intense visual experience than the existing, 6 LED GanzFrames (not everyone prefers very bright lights, in our experience). We expect to have them in stock within a few weeks, and will be saying more about them both here and in our next email offer.

I own the first generation of Procyon (with square connector) new glasses will they adapt to this model?

It's doubtful, Karmax. That style has been out of production for a very long time.

Many thanks for the info Robert. If we were to purchase the new Ganzframes would we have to install new sessions on the Procyon that are compatible with the new frames and would we get the same optical experience as a Kasina user would?

No, the current sessions work well with these glasses. Maybe some could be tweaked or optimized but that is a longer term project. You would get the same color mix as far as brightness levels as the Kasina but the experience is different in character in some ways.
