What is the maximum Hz Procyon/DeepVision are able to generate?
Hey!
I've been creating my own sessions lately. I've noticed that when the frequency ramps up to 40Hz it looks like a static light. In other words I don't see the flickering. Is this because of hardware limitations or because of my eyes not being able to tell the difference? I recall Procyon being able to go up to 75Hz, does DeepVision have a limitation around the same mark as well??
Re: What is the maximum Hz Procyon/DeepVision are able to generate?
It is a limit of our perception called the Flicker fusion threshold. You can read about it here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flic...sion_threshold
The brain can still track these frequencies somewhat but to our eyes they appear as solid fields of light.
Peripheral vision has a little higher threshold.

Try using narrower pulse widths (duty cycle), Vili - that will provide more contrast between the 'on' part of the pulse cycles and should make the flicker more perceptible. Also do use the pulse, not the sine or triangle waveforms on your Procyon, to enhance perception of the flicker.

Hey!
Thanks for the tips, I got it working now. I can clearly perceive 40Hz easily now!
Thanks a lot both of you :)
