Kasina pre-purchase question

Hi -
I'm a long-time user of L/S,
since the mid 90's, mostly with DAVID machines.

Here's what I want to do first, on a Kasina,
right out of the box, if possible.

I wish to play (via SD card or audio in etc)
20 minute stereo guided imagery sessions
that I have created myself.

So what I wish to get from the Kasina
is a nice little alpha type session that delivers
lights and tones for entrainment,
while my guided imagery delivers the music and
imagery.

This is simple and easy with every L/S machine I've ever used,
but it's unclear if the current built in sessions in Kasina do this.

Hi Jim,
The Kasina has the ability to play sessions from the SD card that have light encoded in them as AudioStrobe or SpectraStrobe (the new expanded version of AudioStrobe). This requires that the sessions are pre-produced in a software editor such as NeuroProgrammer or Mind Workstation from Transparent Corp. MWS supports SpectraStrobe elegantly now and NeuroProgrammer soon will.

For traditional mind machine type sessions with binaural beats or isochronic tone pulses we have a built in session format called KBS or the Kasina Basic Session. We include a free editor for Mac or PC to create these sessions. They can be the length that you desire and contains the frequencies that you need. This is an easy to create and edit format. The Kasina when it plays these sessions back offers you several choices (selectable in realtime) for color mapping. These are called ColorSets. BTW, this color mapping also works with legacy and new AudioStrobe material.

At this time you would pipe your audio in as has been done traditionally through an external audio input jack. That is how you would sync your imagery sessions. In a future update you will be able to play these files directly from the SD card through a free firmware update which is forthcoming. We saved this for a later update so that we could get into user's hands the many sessions and new technology the Kasina offers. Also, with the promise that the Kasina will keep growing and expanding.

Just this question alone, please....

Does the Kasina come with a 20 minute relaxation session
of lights and tones only...
... that I could use while playing my 20 minute guided imagery session too?

I want a solution to this... out of the box...
and I'll dig into all the other wonderful features, perhaps... at a later date.

Can you please help me understand that one simple feature I'm looking for?

It contains this session 25 min Deep Tranquility - Description: Try this session first if you are really sensitive or just starting out on the machine. This is one of the most gentle sessions in the unit. Just sit back and allow yourself to gently flow.

The length can be easily adjusted to 20 minutes..

Tell you what too... I'll make a deal with you. Buy a Kasina and I'll make your simple session for you if this one is not what you want.... one time offer only :)

is this a "yes" or "no" answer to my question?

Can I assume that "deep tranquility" consist of nothing
but flashing lights and beeping tones.... correct?


Please.... are there pure light and tone sessions
that I can play my pre-recorded guided imagery sessions over.

I have used these machines personally and clinically
(I"m a psychologist) for many years.

I appreciate your kind offer of making me a session,
and I may take you up on that...

AND... I really, really just want to know if,
at the start, I can just use the Kasina in similar
ways to all the DAVID machines I have.

I'm not trying to be difficult,
I just cannot seem to get a simple answer
to my simple question....
