Changing the Startup mode?
The Procyon always starts up in Ses(sion) mode. Is there a way to change the startup mode? For my use case I always use DAS mode.
I opened up the Procyon and found it relatively straight forward to default to powered on (by bypassing the momentary power switch with a direct connection. Which is useful with a usb powered conversion I made. I just connected a 4.5V usb power adapter to the battery connections. But if the unit cannot start in DAS mode I will still need to press buttons on the Procyon when I power on my device.
I am hoping the unit can be programmed to change the startup mode or someone knows the wiring diagram well enough to know which pins I could short to force DAS mode.
Joey.

Not easily possible, I'm afraid.
Why did you use the battery connections for USB power instead of just using the built-in USB jack?

I could have sworn I tested the mini usb port before. Was there an earlier revision of the Procyon that only allowed programming while plugged into USB?

No, the USB socket has always been for power as well as programming.
Just plug it into a USB power supply and no need for batteries!
You can probably just leave it powered on forever too, it draws very little power. That way it'll always be in the mode you want.
