  1. Ganzframes Open Eye Cutout Template

Based on the ideas from the post: http://www.mindplacesupport.com/foru...d-Fun-Patterns for the Kasina and new Procyon frames...

Attached is a template for you to print and cutout a simple cover for your Ganzframes which will allow you to view them with eyes open. This should work for Procyon, Proteus, last revision Sirius and the extra color frames we sell. Basically, all the ones with purple frames.

It is not quite as smooth ...

  2. Kasina Open Eye Cutout Templates and Fun Patterns

A simple method to use the Kasina glasses with your eyes open is to cut out paper inserts and place them over the LEDs. The spread is not perfectly smooth and the overall effect doesn't compare to true eye open glasses (forthcoming from MindPlace). However, it is fun and easy to do.

The first attachment provides a template that you can cut out. There is a notch on the left lens to allow it to slip under wiring cover. They fit the lens fairly tight. Four groups are on one sheet so you ...

  3. AVS Color Illusions

Combinations of LED lights in AVS do not always create the colors that you expect them to. For certain colors in fact like dark purples, sky blues and light yellows, you have to rely on these illusions.

Here is a test file: Blue Illusion

The Green LED is on the whole time at full brightness. The Red LED flashes changing patterns. The amazing thing about this session is that you actually see very little green. Only in the slowest changes, like at the beginning. Otherwise ...

  4. Fractal and Spin Spaces Test Files

In response to a discussion here: http://www.mindplacesupport.com/foru...s&goto=newpost I've decided to revisit what I know about creating fractals and spin systems.

    Test files are attached here.

These are SpectraStrobe files for the Kasina. There is no audio and I am using only the Red LED at its brightest setting. What is mainly being altered is the frequency controlled live ...

  6. Video review of our 1990s era MindLab and Esprit AVS systems on YouTube

Chris Payne (LifeTools UK) has posted a video he made in the 1990s, which features our old MindLab and Esprit light and sound systems. Nice 'blast from the past' for those of you interested in our history, and that of the AVS field in general. (Thanks, Andy, for bringing this to my attention):

  9. New Procyon review on Youtube

    Greetings, all--

We've recently learned that Carrie Searley, producer at UK-pop.com, has created a Procyon review for their upcoming TV series, "The Unearthly Hour", which she has just posted on youtube.

She makes the interesting suggestion that the somewhat psychedelic imagery that most of us see when using the Procyon (and other AVS systems) is due to the lights causing the pineal gland to produce small amounts of DMT in the brain...

    Enjoy!
